I work with four styles, and many combine them – a show first, then table magic when the coffee arrives. All of them work just as well at a Christmas party, a wedding or in your living room.

Table magic: Sune Narud performs a card trick for guests

Stage show – for the whole room

Everyone gathered for a show of about 45 minutes, whether you’re 200 in a hall or ten in a living room. Magic, a lot of laughter, and a few lucky guests on «stage».

If you have a sound system with a microphone, I’ll use it. If not, I bring my own. It runs on battery, needs no sound check and adds nothing to the invoice.

Good for: company parties, kick-offs, weddings, anniversaries and milestone birthdays. Often followed by table magic.

Strolling magic – while guests are standing

The cocktail hour, the reception or the wait before dinner: people stand in small groups, not quite sure what to talk about. I move around and perform for a few at a time, and suddenly everyone has something to tell each other.

Good for: cocktail hour, receptions, the wait before dinner, and company parties with many guests. Duration: typically 45–90 minutes.

Table magic – magic in your own hands

Once the guests are seated, I go from table to table and perform for each group. Cards that change between your fingers, and a rope cut in two that is whole again. As they say: the best magic happens in the spectator’s own hands.

Table magic works best in the breaks between courses, ideally when the coffee arrives after the main course.

Good for: Christmas parties, weddings, conference dinners and any seated event. Duration: depends on the number of tables.

Private dinner – magic at your home

Having friends over for dinner? I’ll gladly come to your home with a show before or after the meal. It’s close up and social, and if you like, you get a small glimpse into the world of magic. A guaranteed conversation starter.

Good for: dinner parties, birthdays, anniversaries and engagement parties. Group size: 4 to about 30 people.

  • Languages: English and Norwegian, switching as needed for mixed groups.

  • Pricing: Depends on the style, duration and travel. Send the date and guest count and you’ll get a quote quickly, with no obligation.
  • Setup: None needed. Strolling and table magic need nothing; for a show I use the venue’s sound system or bring my own.
  • Children: My shows are made for adults and mixed company. Children at a family party enjoy it too, but I don’t offer dedicated children’s shows.
